Join Texas Folklife for the premiere of their summer audio documentary series, Women in the Austin Music Scene! Austin is known as the "live music capital of the world," and as a community we will hear from some of the women musicians who make this true. The evening is a culmination of the Stories Summer Institute 2019 week-long audio and storytelling training program. Dr. Rachel Gonzalez-Martin will also speak about the folklore and traditions enriching Texas, and the historical value of stories.
On Saturday, June 8, the LBJ Austin Area Alumni Chapter (AAAC) will be hosting their annual meeting and brunch potluck! The AAAC will be enrolling new board members and having elections for secretary, treasurer, vice-president, and president.
