AI for Non-Profits Certificate
The LBJ School is offering a dynamic series of AI workshops tailored for nonprofit organizations. Each session combines high-quality, experiential learning with practical strategies to demystify AI and empower organizations to drive meaningful impact. Dedicated time is built into every workshop to cover recent AI developments, keeping participants informed about how the technology is evolving and where it’s headed.
There are three workshops offered – introductory, intermediate and advanced. Participants will receive a digital badge for each workshop they complete.
Each workshop is $395. If a participant takes all three courses the fee is only $1,000.
Workshop dates:
July 11, 2025 - AI 101: Unlocking the Basics for All Professionals (Introductory)
August 1, 2025 - AI in Action: Transforming Your Work (Intermediate)
August 8, 2025 - Mastering AI-Driven Decision Making (Advanced)
Engaged Leadership
Engaged leadership is crucial for state employees as it directly impacts the effectiveness and morale of their teams. Badge earners have completed training in the practical applications of engaged leadership including how to engage a hybrid workforce, lead organizational change, manage employee performance, effectively problem solve and make decisions, resolve conflict, and develop their team.
Participants will engage with six modules and successfully complete all activities. Each module includes an hour of video content and the competency quizzes at the end of each of the six one-hour sessions.

Module 2: Problem-solving and Decision-making
Module 3: Conflict Resolution
Module 4: Managing Organizational Change
Module 5: Developing a High-Performing Team
Module 6: Leading a Hybrid Workforce
Duration: 6 hours

Energy Technology and Policy Conference
This multidisciplinary conference will give participants an overview of energy technologies, fuels, environmental impacts and public policies.
Topics will be interdisciplinary and will include an introduction to quantitative concepts in energy, including the differences among fuels and energy technologies, energy policy levers, and the societal aspects of energy, such as culture, climate, environment, food, water, economics, security, and international affairs.
