Although they prepare and train their staff to fight such outbreaks, the magnitude of this global pandemic has pushed the capabilities of many hospitals to access critically needed supplies like PPE, ventilators, and more — and to care for sickest of the virus victims.

*This event has been canceled.* On Wednesday, March 25, 2020 the Strauss Center will welcome Dr. Ping Chen, research fellow of China Institute at Fudan University in Shanghai and retired professor of National School of Development at Peking University in Beijing, China, to give a talk on the main features and historical path of China as a development state. Chen will also discuss China's rise and the resulting impact on international order and security law. This talk will be part of the Strauss Center’s Brumley Speaker Series.
