Call for Presentations - Share Your Expertise!
Thank you for your interest in sharing your expertise! Learning and development professionals across Texas are solving complex workforce challenges every day. The Texas Learning Summit 2027 is your platform to share proven strategies, showcase innovative solutions, and spark collaborative change across public sector organizations.
Whether you’ve streamlined onboarding, implemented emerging tech, or navigated significant organizational change, your peers want to learn from your real-world experience. Proposals may be submitted from public sector organizations (state agencies, universities, local governments, etc.) willing to share their expertise.
Why Present?
- Champion Your Team’s Work: Highlight the innovation happening inside your agency, institution, or department.
- Lead the Conversation: Help shape best practices for public sector workforce and talent development across the state.
- Expand Your Network: Connect directly with fellow leaders and practitioners facing identical operational and legislative environments.
Who Should Submit & Preferred Formats
We welcome proposals from Texas state agencies, public higher education institutions, and local government entities.
- Public Sector Case Studies: Story-driven presentations highlighting a specific challenge, the practical solution implemented, and measurable results.
- Client & Vendor Co-Presentations: Highly encouraged. Past attendees consistently rate these sessions among the most valuable. In this format:
- The vendor partner explains how the technology, curriculum, or service addressed the challenge.
- The public sector client details implementation, agency value, and organizational impact.
- Strict Educational Standard: All sessions must be generically educational and focused on transferable best practices. No sales pitches, product demonstrations, or company marketing are permitted.
Conference Tracks
Presentations should align with one of the summit’s three core focus areas:
- Workforce Transformation: Onboarding, succession planning, retention strategies, and leadership development pipelines.
- AI & Emerging Technologies: Practical AI adoption, LMS (Learning Management System) optimization, digital performance support, and modern learning design.
Strategic Learning Leadership: Executive stakeholder influence, proving training ROI (return on investment), cross-agency partnerships, and leading through change. All proposals will be reviewed by the conference committee. If you have any questions, please contact gcmd@austin.utexas.edu.
