***Excellence in Leadership classes require a minimum of eight (8) participants to proceed. This ensures participants gain the full benefit of the training experience.
In the event that a class is rescheduled, we will notify participants via email automatically registering them in the next scheduled training. If the new date does not work, the participants can respond with a preferred date.
Objectives:
1. Understand the terminology, elements, and process steps of the Texas Strategic Plan process.
2. Develop elements of strategic plans and associated performance measures.
3. Identify and apply appropriate data sources and methods for organizational internal and external assessments.
4. Understand the types and uses of different performance measures.
5. Learn to facilitate shared commitment in support of the strategic plan.
Program Knowledge Level:
This basic course is ideal for managers that need an understanding of the state internal agency process and the external plan development required to successfully execute the state’s requirements for strategic planning.
