This PRP will work with the newly formed Austin Economic Development Corporation to develop a set of policies and strategies to guide the long-term strategic direction of Austin’s Cultural Trust Fund. The course will closely explore the issues of equitable urban economic development: business and entrepreneurial support, affordable housing / displacement; creative economy planning and more. Students will gain skills in economic development data/ research analysis, community engagement, client management and applied strategy creation.
Helpful skills: familiarity with the U.S. Census, survey design, GIS mapping, and presentation/ report development.
