Solving problems and making decisions have always been two tough functions of management. In this session, you will learn how to handle challenging issues effectively by developing your ability to utilize a variety of decision-making styles. You will also learn and have an opportunity to practice a systematic process to help you identify and successfully implement solutions to complex problems you experience in the rapidly changing environment of organizations.
Objectives:
1. Describe the six steps of the problem-solving process.
2. Describe and use problem-solving tools.
3. Explain the steps in the decision-making process.
4. Describe three decision-making styles and the appropriate use of each.
5. Explain the Ladder of Inference and its effect on decision-making.
6. Define and explain quality and acceptance as factors in selecting a decision-making style.
***Excellence in Leadership classes require a minimum of eight (8) participants to proceed. This ensures participants gain the full benefit of the training experience.
