In the event that a class is rescheduled, we will notify participants via email automatically registering them in the next scheduled training. If the new date does not work, the participants can respond with a preferred date.
Objectives:
1. Learn the elements of fiscal notes, including statutory and rule requirements.
2. Learn how FNs are used legislatively and what they can and cannot communicate.
3. Analyze agency best practices.
4. Gain hands-on experience in development.
5. Develop communication skills in discussing FN estimates and the actual FN with policymakers.
Program Knowledge Level:
This basic course is ideal for managers that need to review the statutory requirements, the House and Senate rules, and the process for fiscal note development.

Delivery:
We offer Group Internet Based (virtual) and Group Live (in-person) trainings. Online training will be capped at 35 people. In-person training will be held in Austin and will be capped at 56 people.
