Revolution or Evolution? AI, Innovation, and Technology Policy
AI is already impacting many industries such as drug discovery, materials, energy, logistics, and education. Through a combination of invited expert interactions and seminar-style discussions of seminal works on AI and innovation, this course will explore the ways in which AI will impact innovation processes across industries, the societal opportunities and challenges that are likely to arise from those impacts, and the necessary changes, both proactive and reactive, to technology policy and regulation to balance the tradeoffs associated with AI’s impact on innovation processes.
