For many nonprofit workers, meeting their organization's mission is not just their job - it often shapes their own identity and personal values. This strong connection to mission-driven work raises important questions for the nonprofit sector. How does stress show up physically and mentally for nonprofit workers, and what are the signs of overwork and burnout? How can nonprofit leaders develop a supportive culture that nurtures staff's desire for impact in their work while allowing space to rest and recharge?

Please join us for a conversation with Emily Haynes, Senior Reporter at The Chronicle of Philanthropy, to discuss her reporting on how to make careers in the social sector more equitable and rewarding. Anyone interested in learning more about starting or continuing a meaningful career in the social sector is welcome. We hope you’ll come early and stay after the event to connect with UT Austin students, alumni, and community members.

Light snacks will be provided. Free parking for attendees in the Thompson Conference Center parking lot.
