Last week, Erin Geiger Smith—author of Thank You for Voting: The Maddening, Enlightening, Inspiring Truth About Voting in America—who studied journalism and law at UT-Austin, shared her insights at a virtual event hosted by the university's LBJ School of Public Affairs and the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life. The talk was the latest in a series – called "In the Arena" – launched by the LBJ School in response to COVID-19.
