International Trade and Investment in Latin America
This seminar will explore the history and current regulation of international trade and foreign direct investment in Latin America. The course will focus on issues arising under regional agreements such as NAFTA, CAFTA, MERCOSUR and the Andean Community, as well as bilateral trade and investment agreements involving Latin American countries. Students will be required to write and present a research paper, and to prepare short reaction papers on the weekly reading assignments. There are no prerequisites.
