Director, Governor's Center
Joyce Sparks is the Director of the Governor's Center. She is responsible for all aspects of the Center’s daily operation. Her responsibilities include budget oversight, curriculum development, supervision/development of staff, and the development, delivery, and evaluation of management, leadership, and organizational development services and special projects. She received her B.A. from Baylor University (Psychology). Joyce is a Certified Meeting Professional and a Credentialed Master Certified Coach. She has been doing Executive Coaching for over 16 years and has worked with government executives as well as private sector clients. Prior to joining the Center in 1993, she worked with government and non-profit organizations serving children and families in Texas. Joyce has appeared on a variety of national news programs, has testified in Federal Congressional hearings, and has provided leadership development and/or coaching sessions for executive officials from across the United States as well as Canada, Eastern Europe, India, Brazil, Africa and Australia.
