Samuel Hershman is a candidate for the Master of Public Affairs (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. He is a Pi Alpha Theta graduate in history from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
Prior to graduate school, Hershman worked at the Middle East Media Research Institute within the white supremacy research division. At LBJ, he is involved with the portfolio in security studies program run by the Clements Center for National Security.
Hershman is interested in national security, defense and intelligence policy, particularly in the context of domestic extremism. Hershman hopes to find a Policy Apprenticeship in DC focused on national security working within the defense and intelligence sectors, on Capitol Hill, or at a think tank.
