Madge Vasquez

Originally from South Texas, Madge has more than 25+ years of experience in community development, philanthropy, management consulting and the healthcare sector.  Most recently, Madge served as CEO of Mission Capital, a nonprofit capacity building organization providing strategic planning, executive transition management and collective impact backbone support under an explicit racial equity commitment.  

Previous employers include Equity Research Corporation in Washington, D.C., the National Center for Farmworker Health, Accenture, PeopleFund, and Wachovia Bank in Austin.  Madge also served as the Director of Dental Operations at St. David’s Foundation, one of the largest regional health foundations in the U.S., investing over $75 million annually in community grants and programs in a 5-county area in Central Texas.   

Madge received a BA in International Relations from Southwestern University and a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School at The University of Texas at Austin.  She was a Fulbright Scholar in El Salvador, from 1995-1996, where she worked with community-based organizations on issues of healthcare, civil democracy and community development.  Madge is a 2009 Leadership Austin alumna and is a member of the Austin Area Research Organization. 

Madge’s community leadership includes serving on the boards of Jolt Texas, Social Venture Partners International, the Central Texas Collective for Racial Equity, and the Legacy Leadership Council of the New Philanthropists.
