LBJ School Social Media Guidelines
The LBJ School of Public Affairs encourages open and respectful dialogue on all of our social media platforms. As a public institution, we are committed to upholding free speech and will not remove comments solely because they express criticism or disagreement.
However, to protect the well-being of our community and maintain a constructive environment, we reserve the right to hide or delete comments in certain cases, consistent with applicable laws and university policy.
Comments may be hidden or deleted if they:
Contain profane, obscene or sexually explicit language or imagery.
Include personal attacks, harassment or threats toward individuals or groups.
Promote hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, national origin or other protected characteristics.
Share false, misleading or harmful information.
Violate privacy by sharing personal, medical or confidential information about students, faculty or staff.
We do not remove comments simply because they:
Express criticism of the school, faculty, staff, programs, guest speakers, etc.
Present political opinions or opposing views.
