This is the first event in "Inside the Texas Legislature: Insights and Conversation," a biweekly series of eight conversations with the Honorable Ed Emmett, a former Harris County Judge (2007-19), former Texas state representative (R-Houston) and LBJ School alumnus (MPAff '74), discussing and analyzing what's happening in the 86th Texas Legislature. The not-for-credit series is open to LBJ School students and the broader university community
"The Texas Legislature is a fascinating, often frustrating, but always entertaining stage where public policy is created. I look forward to this ongoing conversation about the politics, personalities and priorities that will shape Texas' future," said Judge Emmett.
