House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stopped by the LBJ School at The University of Texas at Austin during her visit to Texas in late March. She spent a significant amount of time with 30 public policy students, including several who will study in the nation's capital during their summer and fall semesters at the school's Washington, DC, campus.

After the private student meeting, LBJ Foundation CEO Mark Updegrove and Speaker Pelosi addressed a crowd of nearly 700 people in the LBJ Auditorium, where she discussed the war in Ukraine and voting rules in Texas. LBJ School DC Concentration student Da'Shon Carr introduced Pelosi and Updegrove.
