Seminar 1: Orientation to the fundamental structures and processes of federal health policymaking, including various vested interests in healthcare policy debates.
Mary K. Wakefield, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, who served in the Obama administration as acting United States Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services from 2015 to 2017, and as head of the Health Resources and Services Administration from 2009 to 2015, will host a seminar series during the spring 2018 semester on "Healthcare Policy: Lessons Learned from the Beltway." All seminars are free and will be held 5:30–8 p.m. on Thursday evenings. However, space is limited and registration is required. Click here to register for one or more of the seminars.
