A Forum on Homelessness in Austin

The LBJ School of Public Affairs and the LBJ Foundation invite you to a public forum featuring Mayor Steve Adler to discuss recent changes to Austin's public order ordinances and the city's plan to move forward with solutions for individuals experiencing homelessness.

The forum will kick off with a welcome from Dean Angela Evans of the LBJ School of Public Affairs, and will be moderated by Steven Pedigo, professor of practice and the director of the LBJ Urban Lab

This forum will take place at the LBJ Auditorium, 2313 Red River St., Austin, TX 78712. It is free and open to the public.

EVENT DETAILS:

  • A max of two seats can be held with each RSVP. 
  • Please arrive early; seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. RSVP does not guarantee admission. 
  • Doors will open at 5 p.m. The forum will begin at 6 p.m. and include a Q&A portion.
  • Questions can be submitted ahead of time to lbjcommunications@austin.utexas.edu, or you may submit them in writing in the lobby of the auditorium that evening.
    Please note: Due to time restraints, all questions will not be answered. However, every effort is made to cover a variety of questions from varying constituencies.
  • Free parking is available in the LBJ Library Visitors' lot (#38), located at 2313 Red River St., and Lots #37 and #39, after 5 p.m. Overflow parking will be available in Manor Garage on a self-pay, space available basis.
