PUBLIC MANAGEMENT

"Public Management Course Description
For this course you will identify and analyze challenges and opportunities facing public sector organizations such as misinformation, corruption, motivation, diversity and inclusion, and public participation. Some of the assignments consist of a site visit, people analytics, and op-eds. The site visit is designed to humanize and complicate the ways in which we think about how providers of government services interact with the public. People analytics refers to the use of data to help organizations make decisions regarding its workforce. For the people analytics assignment you will analyze real-world organizational data to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats facing local government management. Lastly, for the op-ed assignment you gain practice in articulating a clear stance on a big issue concerning public management and must articulate that stance concisely and persuasively. "
