Please join us for a conversation with highly decorated U.S. Army Lieutenant General (LTG) Sean MacFarland, a three-star general and Deputy Commanding General and Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command. LTG MacFarland will discuss his experiences formulating policy and strategy at the highest levels of the U.S. government over three decades, and leading an international coalition and regional partners against ISIS as Commanding General of Combined Joint Task Force (CJTF) – Operation Inherent Resolve. LTG MacFarland began his officer career during the height of the Cold War, served during Desert Shield/Storm, led operations in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and commanded multiple units on the front lines of the Iraq-Afghanistan war. Regarding LTG MacFarland’s service, Sen. John McCain told TIME magazine in 2016, “MacFarland had the courage to adapt and innovate… I can think of no better commander than MacFarland to lead U.S. and coalition force[s].”
