Blake Comrie is a candidate for the Master of Global Policy Studies (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. He majored in politics, with a minor in history, from The Catholic University of America.
While earning his degree, Comrie interned on domestic political campaigns and organizations, state government and in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. In spring 2020, he studied abroad in Belgium, attending the Irish College in Leuven, a program that included an internship at the European Union Parliament.
Comrie is interested in U.S.-European Union diplomacy and global development, particularly in the context of U.S. economic and political competition with China. He hopes to find a Policy Apprenticeship in DC focused on U.S. diplomacy and global development working within the U.S. House or Senate Foreign Relations Committees, State Department, USAID or other global development agencies or organizations.
