Policy Research Projects (PRPs) provide an opportunity for LBJ students to apply their knowledge and skills to a real-world impact project. This open house will feature research and policy recommendations from four student-led PRPs, including:

  • A policy framework for equitable distributed energy resource (DER) technology adoption for Austin Energy;
  • A five-year strategic plan to guide the deployment of the Austin Cultural Trust, which aims to preserve and expand the cultural and music ecology of Austin;
  • Policy recommendations for the Texas Pensions Review Board, which oversees all Texas public retirement systems;
  • A plan to scale the Dallas Workforce Scholars Program, which blends modern industry instruction with living wage work-based learning

Research teams will present their findings to their clients, LBJ faculty, staff and students, and others.

Reception to follow.
