Issues in Urban Management

This course is designed to address core functions in urban management, particularly those issues pertaining to the business of medium and large-scale municipalities, and to develop and refine professional and leadership skills in conjunction with the subject matter.

Steve Norwood became the City Manager of Round Rock, Texas, in January of 2011, and has extensive experience in city government.  He holds a Masters Degree in Urban Affairs from the University of Texas, Arlington.  His prior experience includes a position as the City Manager for the City of Prescott, Ariz., from 2003 to 2011. Prior to the City of Prescott, Norwood served as the Assistant City Manager for the City of North Richland Hills, Texas, from 1998-2003, the City Manager for the City of Lancaster, Texas, from 1995-1998, the City Manager for the City of Wylie, Texas, from 1992-1995 and as the Assistant to City Manager/Director of Economic Development for the City of Euless, Texas, from 1986-1992.
