The Extreme Weather Adaptation Lab is pleased to invite you to the Policy and Planning for Adaptation Lunch Series. These gatherings will bring scholars across campus for weekly conversations on Adaptation to Extreme Weather Events. PAL Lunches will be an opportunity to:
- Present research in motion and ask for feedback
- Find collaborators for projects or grants
- Hear from policy makers and planners about their needs in preparing for weather extremes
These sessions are open to faculty, postdocs, and PhD students across disciplines whose work relates to planning and policy or who are interested in engaging with those fields.
We look forward to continuing the series next Tuesday, February 17, from 12:30 - 2:00 PM in SUT 3.126.
This week's speaker will be Professor Estrella Sanchez Corchero from the University of the Basque Country, and she will talk about Ecocentric Environmental Planning for Weather Extremes and Integrating Ecological Economics, Biomimicry, and Rights of Nature into Urban Adaptation Policy.
Please use this link to confirm your attendance and note any dietary restrictions so we can order accordingly. A calendar invite is attached for your convenience. If you need to attend via Zoom, the link is included in the calendar invite.
We hope to see you there!
