LBJ School Outstanding Alumni Awards & Alumni Weekend

The LBJ School will host several events honoring our Alumni in conjunction with the University's Class of 2020 Commencement Reunion Weekend.

• Friday, Sept.17, 5:30 p.m. CT — LBJ School Outstanding Alumni Awards — Join us as we celebrate the 2021 recipients of the Distinguished Public Service Award, Shamina Singh (MPAff '97) and the Rising Leader Award Erol Yayboke (MPAff '06) and hear remarks by Dean JR DeShazo. All LBJ alumni, faculty, staff and students are welcome to join in the festivities. RSVP.
• Friday, Sept. 17, 8 p.m. CT at the main mall, UT Tower — Class of 2020 Commencement Reunion Ceremony — This ceremony will be hosted by President Hartzell. Graduates will be seated according to college or school and recognized as a class by their dean during the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate with the graduates. The ceremony will also include remarks from the Commencement speaker, Dr. Brené Brown, and traditions that mark a Longhorns passage from student to alumnus. More information on the ceremony.
• Friday, Sept. 17, time TBD — The LBJ School will host a reception honoring the class of 2020. More details to come soon.
• Saturday, Sept. 18 — Cheer on the Longhorns! — The Class of 2020 will also be recognized during the UT vs. Rice football game at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
