Lauren is the Director of Career Services and Professional Development at the LBJ School of Public Affairs and an Adjunct Faculty for the undergraduate Professional Development course. She leads career development initiatives, fosters cross-campus collaborations, and creates professional development opportunities that complement classroom learning. With over eight years of experience at the LBJ School, Lauren brings a deep understanding of the policy field and the diverse career pathways available to students pursuing careers in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.
Through her teaching and career coaching, Lauren helps students translate their experiences into meaningful policy skills while building the confidence and strategies needed to navigate their careers. She emphasizes experiential learning, mentorship, and meaningful professional connections. Her favorite part of working with students is helping them articulate their transferable skills so they can clearly communicate the value they bring to any organization.
