Jeff Denning is an associate professor at the LBJ School and Department of Educational Leadership and Policy.  He studies the economics of education, often focusing on higher education policy issues, including financial aid, admissions, and college completion.

He is the Associate Director for Research at the University of Texas at Austin Education Research Center, which hosts administrative education and earnings data for the state of Texas. He is also a member of the National Bureau of Economic Research, CESifo, and IZA. Previously, he was an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Notre Dame and Brigham Young University.
