Updated Course Description– Public Management

 

Assignments for this course will center on people analytics and site visits. People analytics refers to the use of data to help organizations make decisions regarding its workforce. We will apply theory and data to address a number of management topics including but not limited to corruption, motivation, diversity and inclusion, and public participation. We will analyze real-world organizational data using the R programming language. Experience with R is not required. You will also complete two site visits for this course which are designed to humanize and complicate the ways in which we think about how service providers and service recipients interact.
