On Thursday, January 30, 2025, the Strauss-Clements Intelligence Studies Project will host a public talk, “Digital Diplomacy: How Cyber and AI Are Shaping the National Security Landscape" with William Spalding, Associate Deputy Director of CIA for Digital Innovation. The event is free and open to the public.

The Crime, Law and Policy Workshop provides an opportunity for students and faculty to engage with frontier works-in-progress from leading scholars focusing on various aspects of the criminal legal system. 

The LBJ School of Public Affairs, UT Economics, and the McCombs department of Business, Government and Society will be continuing our Environmental Economics research series over the course of the Spring 2025 semester, featuring academics and subject matter experts in the field.

On Monday, February 3, 2025, the Strauss-Clements Intelligence Studies Project will host a public talk, “A European View on Intelligence Cooperation” with Dr. Eric Mechoulan, former senior official with the French Central Directorate of Interior Intelligence (DCRI – Direction centrale du renseignement intérieur) and General Directorate for Internal Security (DGSI – Direction générale de la sécurité intérieure). Dr. Mechoulan will discuss European intelligence cooperation and sharing and provide an overview of the French intelligence apparatus. The event is free and open to the public. *This event is part of an occasional series of activities focused on a comparative study of non-U.S. intelligence organizations.

On Wednesday, February 5, the Strauss Center for International Security and Law and Clements Center for National Security will host a fireside chat with former U.S. Ambassador to the Russian Federation John Sullivan about his experiences in this role and his memoir, “Midnight in Moscow: Lessons from the Front Lines of Russia’s War Against the West.” The talk will be moderated by Strauss Center Director Adam Klein.
