Coaching Skills for People Leaders Certificate Program

The Coaching Skills for People Leaders (CSPL) Certificate program is a three-month virtual professional development program that equips leaders with practical coaching skills they can apply to build stronger teams, improve performance and navigate the conversations that matter most. Designed for immediate application, CSPL blends interactive learning, practice labs, coaching supervision, assessments, and validation to help new coaching skills stick long after the program ends.
Leaders leave equipped to elevate performance conversations, support career growth, and build high-performing teams through a coaching approach that strengthens engagement, accelerates development, and delivers lasting business impact.

Class Schedule
Class 1 – Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. CT
Class 2 – Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. CT
Class 3 – Friday, Oct. 16, 2026, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. CT
Class 4 – Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. CT
Class 5 – Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. CT
Class 6 – Friday, Nov. 2, 2026, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. CT
- Attend six 2-hour classes
- Complete 8 hours of peer or colleague coaching practice
- Participate in a 1-hour coaching workshop
- Submit a recorded coaching session (minimum 20 minutes) for evaluation
Tuition
Total program fee is $3,000.
Location
All classes will be held virtually.

Meet the Instructors
Philippa Strelitz, PhD, Head of Coaching and Executive Development
Driven by a passion for cultivating collaborative leadership and interpersonal
effectiveness, Philippa is a seasoned executive coach with nearly 20 years of
experience coaching executive leaders.
Throughout her career, she has supported leaders in non-profits, government, university systems, and academic medical centers, organizations that answer to boards,
legislatures, and the public rather than a bottom line. She has also advised leaders in the private sector, including high-growth technology and aerospace companies - work that gives her a firsthand view of how fast-moving organizations approach growth and change, insight she brings back into her work with public institutions. She has consulted extensively with organizations throughout the United States and globally.
Philippa holds a PhD in Medical Anthropology from the UC Berkeley/UC San Francisco Joint Program in Medical Anthropology, a Master's in Public Affairs (MPAff) from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin, and a BA from the Plan II Honors Program at The University of Texas at Austin.
Jess Finnigan, Head of Coaching Operations
Jess is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and brings over a decade of senior leadership experience to her coaching, having worked with leaders across technology, finance, government, healthcare, and early-stage entrepreneurship.
Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership roles in Engineering, Operations, and HR at an enterprise level tech company, where she built and scaled the Quality organization from one person to more than 300 globally, including 50 leaders, and later served as Senior Director of Global Operations, overseeing planning, performance management, and strategic initiatives that supported rapid organizational growth.
Jess holds a BBA from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
