Eli Lake is a syndicated columnist on foreign affairs and national security for Bloomberg. He has published essays in Commentary magazine, Liberties, The New Republic and the now-defunct Weekly Standard. Before joining Bloomberg, Lake was a senior reporter for The Daily Beast and Newsweek. He has also been a staff reporter for the Washington Times, UPI and the New York Sun. Lake has reported from Iraq, Iran, North Korea, China, India, Egypt and Israel.
