New Models of Collaboration Boost Ed Tech Impacts

 “VOTE UP” Here!

K-12 schools are increasingly investing in educational technology to improve student learning and reduce achievement gaps. This panel brings together key partners in school-based ed tech initiatives—technology vendors, district personnel, nonprofit leaders and researchers—to discuss how new models of collaboration among the partners, in producing data and knowledge on effective technology integration, is increasing student technology use and achievement in low-resource educational settings.

Inclusion: Austin Transportation, Housing & Health

“VOTE UP” Here!

Truly smart cities are using technology for greater equity and access to transportation, housing and healthcare. We explore three specific Austin projects. An Austin digital inclusion project has trained residents in public housing to advocate at Austin City Hall for their transportation needs; a data project is working on a real-time Austin affordable housing database for residents seeking housing. A digital access project will provide Austin's neediest access to doctors via computer or mobile.
