The Honorable Julián Castro, Dean's Distinguished Fellow at the LBJ School and former secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, will lead a four-week seminar series on policymaking through the lens of housing. The seminar is free and open to the UT community but advance registration is required.

Seminar 1, Housing in America: Making Connections, will provide a broad overview of federal housing policy, examine the relationship among federal, state and local housing regulatory bodies, and analyze the role each plays in creating or limiting housing opportunity. The seminar will focus on the perspective of the policy maker—what tools are available and how they work.
