Hailing from El Paso, Texas, Marliza Anahi Marin-Rabara is a first-generation college student with a diverse academic background, holding undergraduate degrees in History, Political Science, and Psychology from Texas State University. Her commitment to addressing societal challenges, particularly in areas such as immigration, is deeply rooted in her personal experiences as the daughter of Mexican immigrants. Here, she tells us about her academic and professional journey, which includes active engagement in several civic and policy-related activities, and her future plans and aspirations to create a more equitable Texas.

Since earning both a master’s degree and PhD from the LBJ School, Cesar Espinosa Martinez’s career has spanned national security, resilience and business strategy.
