CPG and GOVERNING Host Annual Texas Leadership Forum | LBJ School of Public Affairs | The University of Texas at Austin

The LBJ School’s Center for Politics and Governance and GOVERNING Texas will host the annual Texas Leadership Forum on Sept. 6. The event will feature a keynote address by Bill Benjamin, executive coach and emotional intelligence expert.

The daylong event will take place at the Hilton Austin and will focus on the theme “Leadership 2.0: The Science Behind Great Leaders.” Geared toward those in public service, the forum will feature a highly interactive format where attendees will learn from their peers in different government agencies and jurisdictions.

The day will include a legislative update from Evan Smith of the Texas Tribune and Sherri Greenberg, Director of the Center for Politics and Governance. Other panels will focus on topics such as the mobile workforce, the changing face of public service, using analytics to drive decisions and regional cooperation.

The event is free and open to the public but registration is required. The program will begin at 9 AM and conclude at 3:45 PM. Lunch will be provided.
