By 2025, at least one-fifth of the population of 15 countries in the Americas will be 60 or older. As in the United States, the older population itself in Latin America is rapidly aging, and those 80 and over are projected to quadruple from 2015 to 2050. LBJ professor Jacqui Angel is a leading voice on aging and will participate in the Conference Series on Aging in the Americas in September.
