David W. Springer Joins the LBJ School as Director of the RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service

AUSTIN, Texas, June 25, 2014 – Dr. David Springer has been named as the new Director of the RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin, it was announced today by LBJ School Dean Robert Hutchings . Springer, who began his professional career as a clinical social worker, has been a member of The University of Texas at Austin’s School of Social Work since 1997 where he is a University Distinguished Teaching Professor.

LBJ Returns to the Nation’s Capital with New Washington Center Offering Unique 18-Month, D.C.-Focused Curriculum

The Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin is creating the LBJ School Washington Center enabling students to earn a master’s degree in 18 months with a unique focus on federal public policy. The Center will also provide a platform and forum for nonpartisan policy analysis on the critical issues facing the country and the world and serve as a hub for the dissemination of faculty research.
