Emma Noel Robertson is a candidate for the Master of Global Policy Studies (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. She majored in political science and international studies with a concentration in peace, security and human rights at the University of Arkansas.
While earning her degree, Robertson worked at the Terrorism Research Center within the Human Trafficking Study, gathering, organizing and coding information on U.S. court cases to develop a database for the public, law enforcement, government and others to access.
At LBJ, Robertson is further developing professional skills in negotiation tactics, ethical leadership and conflict management.
Robertson is interested in diplomacy and advocacy, particularly in the context of combating human trafficking and genocide. She hopes to find a Policy Apprenticeship in DC focused on human trafficking or genocide issues working with either the government or a nonprofit organization in policy development or advocacy.
