The Office of Civic Engagement at The LBJ School of Public Affairs together with New American Economy will provide an incisive, data-based look at current refugee policy and the economic ramifications of these immigration policies. This briefing will unpack both national level and Texas-specific information.

Andrew Lim, the director of quantitative research at New American Economy will review several recent studies including interactive local-level data. A roundtable discussion will follow with Russell Smith, the Director of Texas Refugee Services, and LBJ School immigration policy experts Dr. Ruth Wasem and Stephanie Leutert. Lunch will be served.
