This program is targeted towards professionals seeking to comply with the new uniform guidance.


Course Description: 

The latest guidance from the federal government regarding administrative rules, cost principles, and audit requirements consolidates and replaces numerous pieces of federal guidance including OMB Circular A-133 and A-110.  In this session, find out what is new as well as evaluate the grant rules in a comprehensive way.

This class will utilize and refer to online reference materials and manuals.  We encourage participants to bring a laptop or tablet to class.


Course Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

 

  • Describe the purpose and authority of the Uniform Administrative Rules, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements;
  • Evaluate your position in the grant management life cycle;
  • Search the Uniform Guidance for allowable and unallowable costs;
  • Identify the roles & responsibilities of grantors, pass-through entities, and grantees; and,
  • Determine the compliance requirements which should be audited.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your registration, your written cancellation notice must be received before October 27, 2017 in order for you to receive a full refund. Thereafter, cancellation notices received after October 27, 2017 and before November 28, 2017 will be charged a $65 administrative fee. If cancellation occurs between November 28, 2017 and the start of the class, you will be responsible for 50% of the original fee. If we do not receive written notice of cancellation prior to the event, you will be responsible for the full registration fee. You may send a substitute to the class. Cancellation notices should be emailed to lbjopdinfo@austin.utexas.edu. Phone messages do not serve as official cancellation notices.
