Professor Galia Golan will give guest lectures for this course as part of the LBJ School faculty and student exchange with IDC Herzliya. The lectures will take place Wednesdays from 9:00 am-12:00 pm and Fridays from 12:30 pm-3:30 pm, August 27-September 10.
Prof. Golan is the founder and head of the MA Specialization in Diplomacy and Conflict Studies, and runs the MA Program in Government at the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy & Strategy. She specializes in international crises, the Arab-Israeli conﬂict, and current political issues. Prof. Golan is the recipient of the Israel Political Science Association Award for Lifetime Achievement. A specialist on the foreign policy of the former, she was the chairperson of the Department of Political Science, the Darwin Professor of Soviet and East European Studies, and the chairperson of the Lafer Center for Women’s Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She has been a consultant to the IDF and the Foreign Ministry, and she is the author of nine books in the area of international relations and the Middle East.
