Public Management and Leadership

Public Management and Leadership

The LBJ School’s Office of Conferences and Training is now offering a course on practical management and leadership skills to include topical lectures, networking and events and more.

“My biggest ‘takeaway’ will be the differences between people—how to know them better, how to work with them better and how to make a better work environment as a direct result of it.”

The Public Management and Leadership experience aims to teach practical and technical skills about public management, leadership, strategic planning and communication to students who are earning an advanced degree in public administration at a foreign university. Students will be exposed to differing views, philosophies and cultural approaches to issues, helping these future leaders to engage in and implement actionable solutions to local, domestic and international problems.

This program is a step toward forming relationships of great depth, respect and understanding. The overall goal is to create a future global class of educated diplomats, policymakers, researchers, business people and volunteers bound by a common foundation.
