The LBJ School Participates in Annual Campus-wide Open House
AUSTIN, Texas-- Feb. 25, 2009-- On Saturday, March 7, 2009, the LBJ School of Public Affairs will participate in the 10th Annual "Explore UT: The Biggest Open House in Texas," a University-wide event which offers thousands of students at all grade levels an opportunity to learn about different academic disciplines while experiencing campus and university life.
There are several "Realms of Discovery" that categorize programs into acadmic disciplines such as "Cultural Crossroads," "Science Safari," and "Public Service Passegway." The LBJ School's program, "Words Have Power: Finding Your Political Voice Through Buttons," invites students to learn about political campaigns and the importance of being an engaged citizen by making personalized campaign buttons from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the SRH Unit 3 Lobby Area.

Buttons appeared at the first inauguration and continue to advertise, address issues and rally support for campaigns and causes. Learn about the political campaign and the importance of being an engaged citizen while making personalized campaign buttons.
