Media Coverage

The Austin American-Statesman

The Barbara Jordan Forum is an annual tribute to Jordan's life and work, and will encompass multiple events throughout February aimed at discussing policy issues championed by Jordan and her legacy. The LBJ School is dedicated to bringing those issues to the forefront of dialogues by inviting speakers, teachers and students to gather for these talks and events.

This year's quote for the forum, traditionally selected by students, was delivered by Barbara Jordan at the 1976 Democratic National Convention: "A spirit of harmony can only survive if each of us remembers, when bitterness and self-interest seem to prevail, that we share a common destiny."
