A Special Screening of Nobelity

Austin, TX

Please plan to join us on Tuesday, November 27 at 6:15 p.m. for a special screening of Nobelity. Local filmmaker Turk Pipkin interviewed nine Nobel Laureates across the world to explore their thoughts on the world's most urgent problems, from global warming and the energy crisis to land mines and global health. Pipkin says of his journey across the world filming, "Again and again I learned that the world's problems are much larger than I'd thought, but I was also learning that there is much reason for hope. The answers are there, but we have to seek them out and act on them in a much more proactive fashion." The documentary has been recognized by numerous film festivals, including SXSW, and has inspired people across the country to take personal action.

Following the film, Mr. Pipkin will discuss Nobelity and his new project. For more information about the film, please visit www.nobelitythemovie.com. This event is co-hosted by the LBJ Alumni Association and the LBJ School of Public Affairs. A reception will follow the screening and discussion.
