LBJ School Presents: A Welcome Event for New Students

On Tuesday, August 28, 2007, the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs will participate in the University's annual "Gone to Texas" celebration. The event, held the evening before the start of fall classes each year, features live music and presentations from all over campus.

LBJ School events will begin at 5:45 p.m. outside on the north end of Sid Richardson Hall Unit 3. Catered by Freebirds World Burrito, the celebration will also feature representatives from student organizations, a raffle of LBJ memorabilia, and a poster contest.

LBJ students, faculty and staff walk down the steps of the LBJ Library and Museum toward the Tower for the annual “Gone to Texas” celebration.

Once the dinner celebration is over, the LBJ group will proceed to the Tower at approximately 7:30 p.m.
